Bandara Phuket Beach Resort

Bandara Phuket is a small boutique-chic beachfront resort (29 rooms) located in the south of Phuket. Perfect for people looking for a quiet, but luxurious getaway. A bit pricey for Thailand, but affordable by European standards.

Nestled along one of Phuket’s most peaceful spots, Ao Yon (Yon Bay), where pearl farmers and fishermen have long thrived downing to the surrounding clear and calm seawater, the hotel stands a mere 30 meters from the beachfront and has an infinity pool with amazing views overlooking the bay.

It takes around 1 hour (43km) to get from the airport in Phuket to this hotel by private transfer. I booked my transfer with Phuket Shuttle for 900 baths (around 24€) the roundtrip.

The staff were exceptionally good, always smiling and happy to help. After a quick check-in process, a member of the staff was guiding me to my room and carrying my luggage. I stayed in the Superior Room (23 square meters) with double bed and balcony with sea view. The room was very comfortable, with contemporary design (fresh white and blue colors) and most importantly kept clean. The property hotel looks new and in good upkeep.

The bathroom features a separate shower and toilet stall. The room amenities include:

The epic rooftop infinity pool is for sure the star attraction of this property. Open from 07:00 am to 07:00 pm, this full-length swimming pool with sweeping views of the Andaman Sea will transport you to a very relaxed and peaceful state of mind.

The resort facilities include:

-Fitness Room (Open from 8:00 am to 07:00 pm, compact yet well-equipped facility)

-Flamingo Bar (Open from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm, Rooftop Beachfront Bar)

-Shine Spa (Open from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm)

The hotel is right next to bike rental, laundry, family mart, restaurants, and massage houses. Only about 15 minutes away from Old Phuket Town on a bike.

The beach is amazing and I can assure you I've never been in such a warm sea water in my life! But the sunrise at the beach is also priceless so make sure to not miss it if you visit.

The breakfast buffet (from 6.30 am to 10.30 am at the Lobby floor) wasn't vast but tasty and everything was well presented.

Thai people always go above and beyond in truly honoring their guests, and the staff at Bandara Beach Resort was no exception. I look forward to going back again one day!
